As Dumbledore reminds us, it is our choices that show who we truly are as individuals and as a society. For all of us in the US who will be "of age" this November it is time to WROCK the vote and choose our Congressional representatives.
Midterm elections are nearly upon us! In 2008 you made your voices heard by Wrocking your way through the presidential election. Now, join us again as we exercise our right to choose our representatives for the House and Senate. Its 2010 and once again it’s time to Wizard Rock the Vote!
While midterm elections don’t usually earn as much attention as the Presidential elections, they are just as important. Members of Congress are our most immediate representatives in the Federal government. They know your home, your region and your state better than anyone else in government and so they can be your voice as decisions are made about schools, hospitals and the environment.
This summer, the HPA and the Wizard Rock community are teaming up again to register voters. Our members and chapters are getting ready to volunteer at concerts to get you prepared to choose your future. You will have the opportunity to register at concerts or by clicking HERE to register on our website.
But you can help too! Even as an underage witch or wizard, you can publicize midterms in your community and encourage your friends and family to register to vote if they haven’t already.
