Open Positions
Fundraising Team:
Here is a breakdown of the specific positions we are looking to fill. With your application, please specify which subteam you are interested in (if applicable).
* The Stewardship subteam is looking for a strong writer and enthusiastic staff member to assist in tracking and corresponding with donors. This position will also consist of assisting in the compilation of the annual report.
* The Campaigns subteam needs independent and capable self-starters to brainstorm campaign ideas. The ideal candidates will have the drive and motivation to follow through on these ideas and plan the logistics in order to implement them as a part of a team.
* The Grants subteam is looking for an experienced researcher to help seek out grants and coordinate the application process (developing project descriptions, gathering necessary paperwork). The ideal candidate would be have excellent communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to stay on top of crucial deadlines. Grant writing experience is required.
* The 3rd Party subteam needs new staff members to develop ideas and coordinate 3rd party fundraisers. Candidates should be able to work independently on ideas, policies, and promotion of such fundraisers.
Analytics Team
The HPA is looking for someone to work with our Analytics Team to collect statistical information on the HPA’s main website, social networking platforms, members, and other sources. The position will also help use this information to create marketing goals to expand the HPA’s membership base, and enhance the efficacy of our campaigns. We are looking for a person who is detail-oriented and interested in taking statistical information and applying it to real strategies! As an Analytics Team member you will be joining an already established team of HPA staffers and must have previous analytics experience. Marketing background, familiarity with Google Analytics, and the ability to pick-up things quickly are a HUGE plus.
This position will require a time commitment of 5- 10 hours per week.
Communications Team
The HPA is looking for someone to join our Communications Team. This position’s duties include things such as, keeping press materials up-to-date, writing and issuing press releases, responding to press inquiries and organizing interviews and recommending press strategies for the HPA’s Campaigns.
Required for this position are: a strong writing background, a love of research and the news, and excellent communications skills. A background in PR or journalism is preferred, but not required. Please submit a writing sample with your application.
This position will be 5-10 hours per week.
