Tangled in Charlotte’s Web

I fell in love with Charlotte at the age of seven. You know Charlotte, right? She’s a spider who was so smart she could write words in her web. I met her through Mrs. De Lorenzo, my second grade teacher, who sat us down on the reading rug and read to us, out loud, the story of a pig named Wilbur and his best friend Charlotte. Every day I looked forward to story time and the prospect of joining my new friends in their barnyard adventures.

Learning to be a Knight

I grew up in the land of Tortall. I disguised myself as a boy to become a knight. I talked to animals and understood what they said back. I worshipped the Goddess and Mithros. I visited Carthak and was given the power to raise dead animals. I lived with the Bazhir and taught the young mages of the tribe how to harness their magical Gift. I learned how to strengthen my Wild Magic. I fought ancient gods, befriended Stormwings, and fell in love.

Accio Books Begins

If there is one building in a school students tend to take for granted, it’s the library. Every school has one, right? Wrong–but we get to help fix that! Our focus area for Accio Books! this year is the New Beginnings Charter school in Brooklyn, NY. New Beginnings is a school currently without a library, but we are going to give them one.
