My Day of Silence
People are too willing to slough off the responsibility we have to do the right thing, whether it benefits us personally or not. They are too willing to remain silent on this issue when they have the power to say enough is enough. That is the true challenge of the fight for LGBTQ equality: the movement needs people who are willing to use their voices to bring attention to what is really happening—and to demand better.
