Ning Weekly Wrap-Up Blog (May 21-28)

A new blog from Vanessa about choosing our words carefully has emerged. It talks about words and phrases that are commonplace in society and the powerful or not so powerful impacts they may have. It has already received a number of comments, so check it out.
Dorothy has written a fun blog about summer plans. This is a great way to exchange ideas for the summer, talk about what you are looking forward to most and just take a load off now that school is done. (For most of us at least).
For those of you who have kept up with Clinton Scott Miller and his blogs, he is headed back to sea with the Navy. If you haven’t read his blog posts, you should catch yourself up and feel free to leave a little goodbye comment too.

Ravenclaw and Dorothy entitled, Step Back and Enjoy Nature. This piece is beautifully written and talks about really taking a moment to enjoy the smell of roses. This relaxing blog is definitely worth a read.
Violent Crime Down in US
This article gives me a sense of hope. According to a reports from the FBI, the US violent crime rate is down for the 3rd year in a row. Not just violent crime is down though, the report also mentions that burglary, auto theft and home invasions have decreased nationwide as well.
