Introducing to Ning: The Weekly Wrap-Up Blog!

Starting today, we’ll be posting a summary every Friday of recent activity on the Ning. We’ll include our favorite blogs, current HPA campaigns, and news articles relating to HPA values. So let’s start off with this week:

Helping Haiti Heal Livestream:
We had a wonderful Livestream yesterday to celebrate the launch (quite literally) of the fourth cargo plane to Haiti, entitled “DFTBA” after the awesomeness of Nerdfighteria!

Ning Blog of Awesome:
This week, our “Ning Blog of Awesome” writer was proud Ravenclaw Amanda! Amanda wrote about the challenges of keeping with the No New Stuff Campaign as she moved into her new apartment. Check it out right here!

New Discussion Category:
This week, we added an entirely new forum category: “Other Fandoms.” While we know that you love the Harry Potter series, we recognize that this is not the only other fandom out there. If you ever want to talk with HPA members about other fandoms (Glee? Nerdfighters? American Idol? True Blood?), do so here! Also, check out our first discussion, “What’s your favorite TV show?“!

Fandom News:
This week, hit TV show Glee won a GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) award for bringing awareness to the LGBT community! Click here for the full article. Speaking of which, proud Gryffindor Heather has written a great blog about the evolution of homosexuality in young adult literature, which you can read here.
