What Would Your Patronus Be?

Someone asked me this recently and I’m having a really hard time settling on one!

While in the Golden Compass series a person’s daemon keeps changing until they reach adulthood, a person’s Patronus can change too. However, for now, do you know what yours would be?

If I could chose my favorite animal, my patronus would be a chicken. :) However, there seems to be a little more to it than just picking a favorite, and a chicken patronus might lead people to believe I’m one who “chickens out” easily.

So I’m not sure what my “real” patronus would be… maybe an Alpaca (wiki states: “They are gentle, elegant, inquisitive, intelligent and observant”).

You know, I’ve actually been thinking about this a great deal for a long time. I’ve never been asked specifically by someone else, but I’ve asked myself a number of times. Each time, I come up with something different.

So what’s my patronus? I don’t know. I feel like I want to lean toward some kind of feline, but I don’t know if that’s quite right… Maybe it is?

But I have to keep reminding myself that one’s patronus needn’t be a “normal” animal… it can be mythical.

Interestingly, (wow, is this getting long or what?) when I was in high school, I used to spend a good deal of time meditating. During that time, I found my spirit guide (sorta). He was a stag… named Christov. He was Russian.

So maybe, like Harry, my patronus is a stag. But not Stag!James… Stag!Christov. :D

I used to think that mine would be a dog. But now, if I could pick, I would say wolf because wolves are awesome. They are free and wild, but also playful and adventurous like dogs.

I’ve thought about this before and I’ve always varried on it. I’m stuck somewhere between a butterfly, a Bunny rabbit and a Golden Retriever.

I have a very strong wanderlust and, like a butterfly, I don’t like to be held for too long. I’m shy about approaching people, like a rabbit, and I can also be very energetic.I’m extremely trusting and very loyal like a golden retreiver.

I think I settled on a Butterfly awhile ago, but I’m still not positive.

(I also like to hide away when I’m stressed, so…perhaps a turtle?)

I never know, I love the idea of being an eagle because they fly. I am very independent and enjoy being different and unique. I don’t know though, my friends say that doesn’t fit me…

I think my patronus would be a bear. Bears are gentle but have quick tempers and are ready to strike when they’re being pestered. I guess that’s how I am, too.

A little quick temperd but i get over thing farly quickly, also im a little shy and like nice, quiet places. so maybe some kind of cat?

I’d be either a sparrow or buck. Sparrows love being free and they like to explore the world and have fun in the process. They can also bring joy to others at times. Bucks are calm and they are also strong in ways that most people haven’t seen before. Bucks are sensitive and at times; shy. But I think I most relate to the sparrow, hence my patronus would be a sparrow.

Probably a rabbit. A Patronus utilizes happiness, and since the memory I’d probably recall is the day I got my bunny Nibbles.
